As an educator, author, and coach, I've spent much of my life teaching, encouraging, and helping others grow. But I've also always been a creative at heart.
My love for tea has always been woven into some of my most meaningful moments.
What began as a book study I called Tea Talk with Dr. Tay eventually became a podcast. I loved settling into a good book, annotating pages, sharing passages with my audience, and enjoying a warm cup of tea along the way.
Tea also became one of the simple ways I expressed love to my family. Whether I was preparing a large pot of honey-lemon tea filled with fresh fruit when someone wasn't feeling well or fixing my husband a cup before he taught Bible class, I found joy in those little gestures.
Looking back, I realized that I wasn't just making tea. I was creating moments that allowed me to pour into others.
And that got me thinking. What would it look like to pour a little of that same love and intentionality into myself?
That question, combined with my love for creating, inspired me to develop my own tea blends.
I began experimenting with the idea of combining two of my favorite things: fruits and flowers. I wanted something that reflected my personality, my femininity, and the things I genuinely enjoy.
And that's how Sweeter by the Cup came to life.
What started as a simple pleasure has become another way for me to express my creativity and share something I love.
After all, there's something special about creating something simply because it brings you joy.
With love,
Dr. Tay
